7) Reconstructions
Over the years I have done a fair amount of stone work. It has all involved using salvaged stone from early houses or barn foundations. I have built solid stone walls and foundations as well as period fireplaces. I have also dismantled a stone Canal Hotel near Liverpool Pennsylvania and reconstructed the stone on a new frame out-side Northumberland Pennsylvania. I have stone faced foundations and do stone wall repair and restoration. At this stage of my career I do not use portland based mortars, I use lime base mortars and plasters along with clay base or combinations of them in my brick work, stone work, daubing, and plaster work.
